SUV crashes into Septa Trolleybus – 20 injured, 1 dead

19 occupants aboard the bus, including the driver, requested medical attention. The driver of an SUV was taken to Einstein Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later. A passenger in the SUV is in critical condition at Einstein. The accident happened just before 7:30 p.m. Monday on the 4700 block of Penn Street. Read More

One Dead and 20 Injured in Septa Trolley Accident

One person was killed, 20 others were hospitalized Monday night after a vehicle and SEPTA trolley bus collided in Northeast Philadelphia, authorities said. According to police, a vehicle, occupied by a driver and a passenger, rear-ended a Route 75 trolley bus just before 7:30 p.m. at Penn and Arrott Streets. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where the driver was pronounced dead and the passenger is in critical condition. Read more
